I'm usually not a fan of modern pressings but damn if this isn't one of the best sounding records in my collection. I've spun it countless times by now.

Ditched my grubby original 80s UK 1st Press for this supermarket 25 euro 2019 offering with alight reluctance. Glad I did, fantastic copy, great pressing, flat, quiet and dynamic opening up the soundstage for the first track, awesome.

Bought this in a plain white sleeve without any jacket cover at a boot sale for a quid. The labels said twas Ben Webster and Associates. It was quickly apparent it wasn't the Webster.

A bit dusty when coming out of the sleeve. Perfectly flat, centered and after a cleaning very good sound. Probably sourced from the 2013 master since the known glitch on "Ideas As Opiates" is present here. Recent editions come without a download code. (Auto rip gave me access to the deluxe edition, though).

One of the lucky ones I guess… my copy sounds flawless and is easily in my top ten best sounding albums.

as an audiophile I can only recommend, crystal clear sound, perfect dynamic

Also my copy sounds excellently. Sound is crystal clear, sounstage’s tidy and perfectly 3d spacious.
Mids resolution is fantastic. Silky top end and tight bass are balancing the mids perfectly.
                Press is technically flawless.
I’m really very positively surprised. So far this is for me the best sounding version of this beloved album (out of my 2x UK, 1x German and 1x US pressings from 80’s).

Bizarrely my version of this repress sounds good. Maybe there are different runs of this one, with some being faulty.

This version sounds horrible on my system. Really Very compressed.

This one sounds hallow. Not very dynamic at all. Earlier pressing capture a much fuller, warmer and rich sound. The artist are a little behind the music. Very compressed. Surprisingly, the CD even has a richer sound.
