- It’s not the original but it isn’t god awful…. Yes there is a quick fade on on one song most wouldn’t notice… yes the original is better but if someone wants a new album cover and insert this is completely fine….. I’m even running it through my computer now… it doesn’t look to be a digital file…. If it is it a damn good one…. I do agree if you can get a great used copy go that way but no shame should be on having this edition…. Unless you really are going to notice 2 seconds on a fade out you will enjoy this…. I noticed but I just kept jamming to Janet…. my old original got stolen long ago
- Edited 5 years agoBeware, the North American copies of this reissue were pressed by the awful RAINBO RECORDS, and I suspect that the other reissues will likely be pressed there too. I compared this to my original LP and it sounds very tinny and lifeless. As the other poster here wrote, you can get originals of this for cheap. It's just a shame that the other, more sought after LP's such as "The Velvet Rope" will get such a shoddy treatment.
EDIT - Thankfully, "The Velvet Rope" was pressed elsewhere and sounds much better... hopefully the other reissues will be the same!
