As i'm writing, i'm listening this red vinyl for the first time since its purchase this summer, with my new ortofon 2M Bronze cartrige.
WOW. I can hear nuisance and details i couldn't even imagine.
So no, i don't agree at all with fellow collectors who say that the pressing quality is crap.

This is the release that officially renders the term 'Limited Edition' meaningless. Or perhaps it was Moby's 2016 reissue of Play.

I do not agree with some comments here. While the art work and design is a great idea (and will attract the hipsters who never actually hear their records), the pressing quality is crap. My copy was sealed, but has a lot of pops, a long scuff/scratch over A1 and A2, and several little punctures/dents that are caused when the temperature of the vinyl is not correct. Sound quality is like the other Rhino re-issues. I recommend saving the money for yet another repress and instead buy a decent copy of the Factory original or a late 80s repress.

According to Warner Music UK customer service:

"The limited edition refers to the time frame the item was available to order online.
Unfortunately we have not been provided with a specific number of this item that have been produced."

That's what they told me when I asked. I hope this helps.

Quick question to all hc collectors regarding this release:since i snagged the first UK UP cassette release still sealed ,i have an urge to keep new buys as such.the 40th ann. i would also like to keep as such but i am not sure to do so as it's tight fit celophane could damage its content over the years.i'ld be thankful for any advice to "what to do?"......
Best wishes-dmxi-

Where dothe number 30.000 come from?. I been followed the stock in the wearehouse of Warner records Europe and it been in stock two time. First time around 6500 and next time 3-4000.
So from what I could see around 10.000 made of this release.

To put it in perspective, the standard 2015 reissue has sold about 30,000 copies in 4 years.
