You can hear the Abbey Road in this thing. Bass is just liquid and the guitars cut like razors. So satisfying when a punk classic is given the respect it deserves. It certainly doesn't always happen that way.
Such amazing pressing and packaging and for under $20! First of all the cover sleeve is a thick stock multi fold out poster with super high quality printing. The record itself comes in a poly lined sleeve and is flawless. Plays silently which is nice during the quiet parts of the record. The vinyl is flat and centered and has some weigh to it. The mastering is awesome. Everything sounds excellent. Clarity exceptional. Deep low end. Punchy drums. Dynamic. I’m always amazed at how Crass is able to produce such high quality reissues and sell them so cheap. Happy to have this great record.
The disc is very flat and hefty. The run ins and dead wax are fairly quiet. The mastering is fantastic. There is one real bummer about this pressing: a nagging pop on the first two tracks. Not sure if this isolated to my copy and I have yet to try cleaning it. The packaging is spot on with the original: paper album cover/foldout. The poly-lined inner sleeve is a nice touch, too. I shelled out 30 bucks at a local record shop for this. Couldn't tell you why it was so damn expensive but the irony did not get past me. 30 bones for a gat dang Crass reissue? Anywho. My favorite by the group.
**Edit** The popping was specific to my copy. I got a bum copy with heat damage and some gnarly scratches. Exchanged it for another copy that does not have that same issue.
