I remember buying this album back in the 90's, after I had already bought The Best Of (the one with the blue spheres on the sleeve) as well as Albedo 0.39.

I was very young (around 15), and just discovering Vangelis. I loved his analogue sound, so it was a bit of an unpleasant surprise to hear this more digital style.

25 years later and I still think similar. Procession is a good track with a lovely hook, but even it suffers with that very clichéd late 80's digital synth (let's be honest, "New Age") production.

It was many years after buying this album that I decided to give "Direct" a fair chance. Wow, I was not impressed. Ultra digital.

Conversely, I really enjoyed 1492 & Voices (and Oceanic to a certain extent). Vangelis thankfully changed during the 90's, and since then he has obtained legendary status for good reason.

But his mid-late 80's digital stuff is not something I can recommend.
