Reviews
- ABSURDLY great collection of finest moments... !! Just about almost everything you need from those early days...
- Wow this really higlights the quality of their productions, infact I much prefer their remixes to their own tracks.
- Edited 5 years agoJazzanova take jazz, soul & funk, stir them up & sling them to the future! They literally transform jazzy, downtempo tracks into futuristic anthems, with all the organic dexterity of traditional
soundstyles. The remixes are outstanding & in most cases far better than the originals (4 Hero's " As who we are not as others " is the greatest example)! Productions are meticulous, rythms pound & the whole package is plain great in its corrugated paper cover, a must have!!! - If you like deep soulfull jazzy latino influenced house then this is a must buy. Put out in 2000, but here early 2003 still available at for instance htfr.com if you're interested, and you should be!!!
- hats off to these guys. this album is abolute killer. full of complex tracks that twist and weave with more beats than omni trio, and more changes de la soul. it reaks of salsa and jazz, but the beats and breaks are very technical, giving a kind of "striving for the future, whilst not forgetting your roots" feel.
this epic album sounds rocks in an understated way on the dancefloor, but also is a great chill out album for home (god, i sound like a bad commercial, sorry).
best trax i would say are the What's Your Number and Amazon Adventure remixes. am still gobsmacked that they can take a great ian pooley song like that, and make it as good, if not better than the original.
