Reviews
- Would have loved to hear Jim Gordon play on all tracks. Jim Keltner puts in a strangely below par performance on the tracks he is featured on, whereas Gordon really shines on the 3 he is on. According to the liner notes in the CD booklet, Keltner, who was hired for the whole session, was unable to play these tracks, hence Jimmy Gordon's inclusion on the album.
Personally I think this album is stronger than Songs For A Tailor and Harmony Row. Better performances, more alluring chord sequences, even more soulful.
Special mention goes to Steve Hunter. He plays brilliantly on this album and is a session guitarist of note. Played the acoustic intro to Solsbury Hill, I've just discovered.
