Tanuki – 漢字・タイトル + カタカナ・タイトル = Kanji Title + Katakana Title

Side A is compressed to all hell. If this was intentional for this release, then they did it well. Side B seems to have a little more depth but still compressed to hell. Otherwise, good songs flattened (in sound and literally) on a very clean bubblegum pink vinyl. Of course they're straight up ripping off Japanese classics... but that's why you bought it in the first place.. To hear and feel some sort of new life injected into songs you wouldn't have listened to anyway (and to have it look cool on your shelf/turntable). Although, I must say, the digital versions of these songs are WAY better to listen to on YouTube. Buy this if you just like to collect cool colored vinyls, or if you're into the aesthetics of this eclectic wave of the re-80's. Don't buy it for the sound. Remixed Japanese city pop finds you. You don't find it.
