What differentiates this from the 2010 press? Fkn words lol
I A/B'd this against the Original Master Edition of the CD. Of course the CD was inherently louder, but even after adjusting for volume I found the CD to be superior. Yes the vinyl is quiet but it seems to be quiet at the expense of an aliveness or presence in the music. The vinyl does not sound bad but compared to the CD it sounded somewhat muffled.
Edited 9 months agoA pleasant surprise! Wasn’t expecting: 200 gram vinyl, the soundstage, instrument separation plus a quiet quality pressing. What a way to listen to this album for the first time in its entirety. Now I get why it’s a legendary album.
