If edited down to just two sides this would be a fantastic album, but stretched to four sides the result is sadly rather diluted.

A collection of B-sides, bonus tracks and sessions is perhaps bound to end up sounding a bit disjointed and lacking in those killer tracks to lift it to the sublime. But having said that there's enough here to hold the interest and for fans its an entertaining insight into the early development of Deacon Blue.

The stand out (if not truly outstanding) tracks for me are the rocky Ronnie Spector, the slow and beautiful Undeveloped Heart (later revisited by Ricky Ross as a solo artist), Back Here in Beanoland - purely because of it is of a time in the political history of Scotland, a strangely gentle and understated cover of Julian Cope's Trampolene, and the title track Las Vegas.

The album is a little stretched over 4 sides of vinyl but still worth a listen.
