Imagine if Tech Step had gone in this direction rather than sparseness. Killer ep.

Absolutely love 'Apollo 9'. Another manic slab of hardcore/early jungle this one. Begins similarly to Jo's pervious 'R-Type' released, with a reversed video game music sample, ominous synths and NASA lift off spoken samples. Before introducing a hard-step break followed by one of the most jittery sounding machine-gun drum breaks which makes me feel like I'm having involuntary jitters myself. Then a huge wall 0f noise bass sound hits you. I reckon this is an immensely powerful tune which I reckon makes 'R-Type' seem positively restrained. Lovely tune this and an essential one if you like your music big, hard and heavy.

I'll go against the grain and say I never liked Apollo 9. Murder, on the hand, is a fantastic track. It is appropriately titled and the bass rolls hard. Awesome Records during this time was on fire as far as I'm concerned.
