the fear as we know it has a bit of history. this track was one of the tracks that jeff made that was made a few years prior to its release. The Bells is another good example of this. Anyways, the fear as we know it was produced in 1995, as he did play it in some of his pre 1997 sets. which is the exact same as how the more well know track "The Bells" ended up as how we know it today,

"The Fear As We Know It". The title says a lot about the feeling when listening to this track. Spooky deep techno. A must have for any collection focusing on 90ies techno.

"The Fear As We Know It" is the reason for loving Jeff Mills. Name of the track says it all. I first heard it on the famous Mills' "Mix Up - Live in Tokyo", where it was registered as "Untitled B", and I was blown away! So fierce, intense and dark when this track slips into your ears you can really feel what Mills was talking about - Fear. Even today, over 10 years from it's release, this track sounds fresh and new, like it was made yesterday. Drop it in the club and it will be torn apart.
