- Just received a sealed copy of this and there's tons of pops and snaps. Lots of surface noise. Also, it sort of sounds like the pitch wavers. I'm playing on a newer turntable with a new needle on it. Disappointed at paying $35 for it. Listening now, side B sounds much better than side A which to me sounded the same as a record you fish out of the bin at a thrift store.
- Fans of Radiohead who discovered the band during Kid A or later would likely be surprised at the rock-heavy, guitar based Pablo Honey. In many ways, it's not even the same band. But this is where it all started, and it started very very well. From the opening notes of You, the band presents a fairly-straight ahead rock journey, while demonstrating what may be to come for the band with layering, diverse instrumentation, and dynamics. For example, the closing track, Blow Out, could easily be on The Bends or OKC. Having heard this record many, many times, I can say this release is spectacular. Well defined, strong, clear and overall just wonderful. Anyone Can Buy This Record!
- $30 single lol lol lol lol
jk you, anyone can play guitar and the other ones are great aswell
truly the only radiohead album that will get you laid - Good reissue pressing. Unfortunately, the original master recording volume for this album is a bit low so you will need to turn up the volume a few notches during playback. Also, the bass is bit lacking so will need to bump it up a wee bit for a nice EQ balance.
