The Beatles – Abbey Road

Anyone information, whether those problems mentioned with the blu-ray also appear with the Japanese release?

It would have been great if they had included the almost recently found alternate version of "Here comes the sun" with the unreleased guitar solo in the bridge.

Another great remix from Giles! I cannot imagine having to manually line-up all those tracks in protools from the various multi-track tapes involved.

Question: Are the bonus/outtake tracks different from the ones included on the "Anthology" series from the 90's?

I am wondering about the number of discs.

Beautiful book, nice presentation. Yes the remix-at least in regular stereo- is not as good as the original, but it's a an alternative. These kind of sets are great to go to once in a while on a lazy day, and well worth purchasing.
The side 2 medley rough mix is very interesting, but if you want to hear the music on a regular basis, get the late 70s UK pressing!

Unbelievably awesome. I've never heard anything like this before. Beatles in Dolby atmos! Like listening to a hologram. Words can't describe. Love it.

Why are the lyrics at the end of Come Together replaced by different takes? What's the point? The drums of I Want You (She's So Heavy) got replaced too, and therefore sound strengthless and horrible. Giles Martin might think he's done great job clearing the mistakes in the original mixes, but the background noises just get louder, the drums are sometimes distorted and move back and forth, left to center to right for no reason. Last but not the least, same old compression problem still exists. Each song sounds just S! T! I! F! F! Giles Martin, once again, ruined his father's work. I might just have to listen to the Kenny Saxton remix of the album to have the optimal experience.

I was really looking forward to this. Normally I only buy vinyl these days, but for this special occasion I had to have this box as well.
The book that comes with this box is great. Not to say phenomenal. I read in it for days and it enlarged my knowledge of this record and its writers quite a bit. Really very nice.
The CDs with extras are much better than those of The white album and Sgt. Peppers in my opinion. "Goodbye" and "Come and get it" are great items to have, sounding very nice already in these rough versions. And it was also very nice to hear "The long one" in its original form, including "Her Majesty". I did not listen to the CD with the 2019 mix, because I prefer the vinyl.
The Blu-Ray sounds very bad in my opinion. I was really curious to hear it, but both surround versions sound awful. Especially "I Want You (She's So Heavy)". I won't listen to it a second time.
The vinyl was not included in this box, which is a real shame I think. I had to buy it seperately and it sounds really good. Fresh. More etail.

There should be a 3D cover of the box..like the 50th anniversary release of Sgt.Pepper.

There is a hidden video on the Blu-Ray Track 2 - Something (Video) in all Audio Format available!
On this Track Control Pad in the right direction! Then “Something (Video)” appears.
