This appears to be the same exact cut as the regular black version, readily available and much cheaper. Same matrix
I had the Ipecac red translucent copy back in the day and had to sell it buy drugs (that's not true, but sounds fitting when discussing QOTSA). Although I wish I had that version I was pretty stoked to get a copy of this pressing which sounds just as good.
This is an amazing press. QOTSA at their best and this VMP release is spectacular.

The mastering on this is incredible, well balanced eq-wise, dynamic and not too compressed. This is one of those albums that will always stand the test of time. The production is incredible from start to finish. This pressing sound amazing - one of the best sounding albums in my collection for sure. A must own.
Here to echo what folks are saying. Just got the VMP 100 version in the mail this week and I'm floored by how great it sounds! I'm hearing things super clearly that I've never even heard before on this one. And this is a record I've heard too many times to even count! This is the one to pick up!!
Repress is phenomenal from the VMP 100 release. Dead silent no pops throughout both records. Would highly recommend.
This record sounds absolutely fantastic. It is absolutely dead silent during the radio parts and before the hidden track. It’s quite loud compared to other records in my collection but I’m never turning it down!
Sound is INCREDIBLE and the packaging is so well done!
Do yourself a favor and buy this pressing, you'll be blown away by the sound quality even if you're not a huge QOTSA fan. VMP really outdid themselves with this one. As others have said, PLAY IT LOUD!
