Notes

This is the PostWax subscription service edition. Screen printed plastic sleeve housing a 12" x 12" lithograph of the main cover artwork and a folder style jacket that holds the vinyl and a perforated sheet of playing cards.

This is a 4-song EP which is technically organized as 2 tracks on CD (track 2 is 20 minutes long, haha), so we're looking at a 25-minute monster of an EP.

This one is my favorite of the first five Postwax releases (as of this date that is all that have been released to subscribers). After a huge delay I finally got this on vinyl today and it sounds great. The main event is the 'Dying On the Mountain' suite which is about 20 minutes long and establishes a medium tempo meditative groove that builds into several crescendos punctuated with solos and vocals as it develops. 'Towards the Sun' clocks in around 5 minutes and is fine, great guitar tones and nice vocals. To me it feels like a bit of an afterthought, especially on the vinyl version, after the monster suite on side a.
