If this album caught your attention due to the David Axelrod production credit and performance by Earl Palmer on drums, don't get your hopes up. Nothing here resembles that classic Axelrod sound. Sure this album swings and is definitely a fun listen, but a majority of this album was recorded in the late 50's early 60's drawing comparison to some of the early stuff done with Lou Rawls.
