- Great sounding perfectly flat not a pop or click worth owning
This one blows my 1983 Fantasy “Original Rock Classics” pressing out of the water!- Way above average pressing quality on my 1st copy... flat, centre'd, free of groove defects and plays very well throughout. Great mastering!! Lovely tip on jacket. At £25 its how a modern reissue should be.
Edited 2 years agoThe other 1/2 speed masters in this CCR series generally sound great, as does this, but I've tried 4 copies of this LP and the first one had a few very loud pops in places and the next three skipped several times at the start of Side 2 in the same places, which seems very suspect (it's not an issue with my needle...also used additional weight to see if that helped and it didn't). Surprised no one else has had this issue. Love the album so it's been a total head-scratcher.
Despite the fact that those half speed masters aren't AAA they sound pretty good. Will get you through the waiting time on another Analogue Production repress.
Love this pressing, highly reccommend! Great deal for the price.
Edited 4 years agoFairly decent remaster. A little bottom-heavy, which Miles is notorious for. You’ll notice the same problem in all the ABBA Abbey Rd RMs. Detail gets lost, as the bottom-end is overwhelming everything else.
wow , really awesome reissue ! pressing is flawless not even one crackle/poc on the entire record, comes in a heavy cardboard sleeve with poly inner ! the mastering is perfect, good dynamic, clarity, awesome stereo..highly recommended !
