When I first came across this record the only reasons I sampled it were a) it's on Dial, and b) it was half price at Chemical Records! Boy, was I in for a treat. This is an excellent production, and in my opinion still the best thing Roberts has put out by far. It's an absolutely killer fusion of house and minimal techno. Sure, this description fits a lot of Dial's releases, and a lot of them are quite good at that, but Roberts brings a really funky, jazzy edge to the whole thing. Growling bass lines offset by sparkling highs. It's all pretty low tempo and chill, but this is definitely some great stuff here and highly treasured in my collection.
