Anybody have any idea how many copies this was "limited" to?
Seems at least 3,000 discogs fans have a copy of this.
And plenty of stores seem to still have new sealed copies 4 years later.

I'm guessing it was limited to the maximum run of 50,000 or something.

Granted I am no audiophile but a big Prince fan and this sounds just terrific to me. Even better than my (worn out) 1982 copy. Also, it's gorgeous! Long live Bernie Grundman! I just hope he keeps handling all future Estate releases. Including, a new remaster of Purple Rain? Fingers crossed.

Does this version have the printed inner sleeves with lyrics? I don't see them in the Discogs pics.

A perfect copy. Purple vinyl and clean sounding. Minimal limiting and compression.

The vinyl itself is quiet. I do believe this is as good as you'll get with this album. Just know that tracks "1999" and "Little Red Corvette," at least, were not recorded at Sunset Sound, according to Peggy McCreary, engineer at Sunset Sound. Prince did them in Minnesota. You can hear the difference, so I looked it up. I don't think vinyl nirvana will ever be reached on those two tracks. "Little Red Corvette" still sounds like it came off a cassette tape. Pretty sure "DMSR," "Automatic," "Lady Cab Driver," "All the Critics...," "International Lover,""Something in the Water" are all Sunset Sound; you'll get the clarity and deep soundstage on those tracks.

Both of my discs were pressed with very different vinyl: disc one is almost solid opaque, disc 2 is the usual splattered, translucent affair. Weird!

please type 10 words we still have this ridiculous rule, thanks discogs
