- Always thought Invasion was Jon e Cash & Dready together on production. Either way it's 1 of the best tunes from its era .. Not your average grime tune from the time sound-wise, it could've been made a couple years earlier as it is quite reminiscent of Pulse X with the beat and bass arrangements. Don't know quite what it is about it but everything just works perfectly. The beats are quite breaky which really drives the track & I'm a sucker for a long, drawn-out bass note, which this track revolves around. The der-der-der-der on the intro & breakdowns sounds like a poor quality sample from fruity loops or somewhere but really builds up the tension to prepare you for that almighty bass. It us what it is and it's not pretending to be anything else. Grime/Garage at its finest, buy this and you won't be disappointed .. I don't own many Grime records now but this is one I won't part with .. The b-side is pretty good too, had a lot of play from Martin Larner & Cameo at the time
