Reviews
- Bought in Antwerpen around 1976. This is an unique opportunity to hear what spontaneous dadaïsm is to music . With his Outspan Zwei companion, it is the nadir of crazyness. Circus music, subversion, sound explosions, incredible piano work of Fred Van Hove and everywhere - anywhere percussions of Han Bennink. Albert Mangelsdorff is playing his soul out of the trombone and in this quartet the powerful, loud and harsh blowing of Brötzmann gets his very best context. There is nothing else more funny, mind blowing and less serious at one in the story of recorded free music. Compared to Outspan Ein & Zwei many hard blowing free jazz are just ennoying.
Also some great moments of Fred Van Hove. Not yet reissued and it is a shame.
