Notes
Limited edition deluxe box set compiling repressed versions of the Beggars Banquet' period LPs and a fourth double LP of a previously unreleased live show recorded in London May 10th, 1987; and five CDs of rarities, outtakes, and a collection of 28 songs intended for what was supposed to be the follow-up to '16 Lovers Lane'. The box set also contains a large-format 112-page book of archival photos and extensive historical liner notes from founding member Robert Forster - plus additional pieces from guest essayists, fans & contemporaries. Also included is a 'Liberty Belle And The Black Diamond Express' songbook that was prepared at the time of release by their publisher, but never printed, containing hand-transcribed sheet music of all ten songs from the album. Also includes a card with a unique download code for the box in both MP3 & WAV formats.
The first 400 box sets ordered directly from Domino came with a book from Grant McLennan's personal library, as well as a bookmark certifying it as such.

This is such a beautiful box set. Everything about this just oozes elegance. I would have easily paid $400 for this if that’s what it was going for. Wow! The canvas box with Jackson Pollock inspired painting lining is just a real thing of beauty. The book is magnificent with all sorts of interesting notes and high resolution photography. Each LP is individually shrink wrapped and the records contained within a polylined inner sleeve. The CDs are hooked into an attachment in the back and are also individually shrink wrapped. I’m really happy with this thing, it’s super impressive. I would grab a copy from the US seller letting it go for $179. That’s a total bargain considering all the music you get. Fans of the band will really shit a brick when they open this thing up.

On Jan 5 2021, after inquiring with Domino to clarify the difference in terminology used to describe current stock status of the Go-Betweens Anthology vinyl box sets, specifically "out of stock" for Vol 2, versus "sold out" for Vol 1, they confirmed that this release, the Go-Betweens Anthology Vol 2 vinyl box set, is in fact "sold out" and will not be repressed (as "out of stock" may have implied).
Was this supposed to come with a download card? Mine didn't have one. I would love to have the live LP on CD, too.

Absolute a MUST for all Go-Betweens fans, even better than part one. Excellent all unreleased tracks.

Part 2 is even better than part 1. A strong fan will listen to the magnificent live double album as the almost 80(!!!!) demos and rarities on cd. Superb. Additional liner notes on vinyl as cd’s. A whole story will be explained. Goose pimples!! The linen box is a Juwel (against the light it will be reflecting) The book is great to read and as in part 1 full of great informations. ...thank u Robert!

I wonder if someone can provide full credits to the songs on the rarities discs as to whether they're b-sides, demos, live or acoustic versions, special versions, etc.
