Ariana Grande – Christmas & Chill

Well, nothing has been fixed about this. I don’t know why I thought with a restock it might have been. I emailed them and they’re only offering a refund if you send it back, not even a partial refund for keeping it. Her customer service also gave me the most bizarre way to try and lift some of the staining by putting it BACK in the PVC and pressing it on the plastic. Not impressed, but I do want this on vinyl so I’m going to keep it even though the static is SO bad in some parts. Sigh.

Edit: Well, I emailed back going Karen mode and they’re providing me with a full refund! Still doesn’t make up for the disappointment with this pressing.

PVC cover completely kills this record. will made a refund

Extremely disappointed to receive a record completely covered with PVC residue. The first half of the album sounds decent but the last two songs are full of surface noise that doesn’t budge after cleaning.

I also bought a C&C vinyl from the merch store this year. Same issues as everyone else :(. Regardless of whether or not the PVC staining affects the audio quality--a record purchased DIRECTLY from her merch store shouldn't look like this. My copy even has a direct mark from the PVC flap.

Do NOT buy this from her merch store, and I would be super cautious buying a copy here off of discogs as well.

Hoping we get a repress and a true sleeve someday.

update: UMG gave me a full refund. Did not have to ship vinyl back.

do NOT buy the one on her website right now, it's not a repress, just some old ones they had laying around, all of which are stained by the PVC sleeve. really wanted to love it but waiting for her team to message me back so I can get a refund. ;-;

This release would have been AMAZING if it hadn’t been for the pvc sleeve ruining everything! Vocals are super crisp and clear, but due to the staining caused by the sleeve, there’s a horrible hissing noise behind each track, which luckily gets somewhat covered up by the instrumentals. Mine also arrived warped too, which I honestly think could have been prevented had it been stored in a proper sleeve too. I hope one day this record gets repressed and reissued in a standard sleeve, because this is just disappointing how many people have received stained copies :(

Finally got my hands on this vinyl. It has a really weird static sound that I can only assume is from the the PVC staining. Already emailed her team to try and get a replacement because it sounds awful. This after cleaning in mutliple times btw

UPDATE:

her team got back to me saying they’re investigating the quality concerns of the vinyl. Not sure what that mean whether refunds might be issued or maybe a repress (I highly doubt this)

Received today. PVC stains all over. It sounds absolutely terrible.
