Ok im going to bravely step forward and say this is my 2 nd favorite Harrison solo lp.
Now before everyone starts carrying on and blasting me let me say why.
Although there aren’t any huge classic singles I mostly like every track on here. Its an extremely pleasant listen. After Dark Horse and its rough vocals and the disastrous tour that followed it George I think felt the need to step back a bit from the preaching, which was more than a tad hypocritical and produce just some songs. To my ears he also went out of his way to sing well and he does.
You was the single from this lp and i think its better than people remember.
Now people might say there are no stand out tracks here but you know what there aren’t any bad ones either. If you look at every lp he put out between ATMP and this one each one has like two great songs and a pile of forgettable dross but this one for me is pleasant and solid from beginning to end. In fact if im not playing ATMP or that early takes lp im probably playing this one.
So say what you will but I love this lp and for my money its the last great lp he makes.
