- Having heard at least four different Bitches Brew's pressings - including Mobile Fidelity - I must say this is by far my favorite.
What a surprise! - Wonderful pressing/package, sounds absolutely top notch and the splatter effect is impressive. Glad to add this masterpiece to my collection.
- Edited one year agoClean pressing which also sounds excellent to me. Interestingly, my copy came with a blank/white label on side 1, yet plays the correct “Pharaoh’s Dance” track.
- This is back in stock on the Rough Trade UK store
https://www.roughtrade.com/gb/miles-davis/bitches-brew-d7815de5-23a8-4115-bc17-d1a7cc2d000e - Edited one year agoSame stampers as the Legacy "We Are Vinyl" Release variant 2 which by all account is excellent. The assumption is that the MoFi pressing is the best one but I haven't read or heard a side by side comparison of the two. What I can tell you is that this hits all the marks you want it to sonically. Sturdy Jacket and nice heavy 180g. Clean and crisp. Extremely well done and would give my solid recommendation.
- Great sound! An Excellent Pressing! But yeah its not a splatter... not even close to.. More like Cloudy or Smokey look
- No complaints on the sound here! My only gripe is that Rough Trade is calling this "blue with red splatter" when the discs are more like a cloudy transparent blue.
