First of all, this is an excellent MoV pressing, both discs are flat and quiet, and the packaging, from the jacket to the sleeves to the poster and booklet, is awesome..and this is a killer album, one of Opeth's best imo, with great songwriting beginning to end, but why oh why is the mix so damn bad?? The, drums, bass, and keys are mixed way too low, and it's such a damn shame, as in my opinion the Martins are the MVPs of this album..for comparison, put on a good press of Moving Pictures by Rush, or the most recent Transmission reissue of Signify by Porcupine Tree for examples of how good a heavy prog album with a proper mix can sound..it's so frustrating

Good stuff 🙂- The mastering is excellent and it is very LOUD! and clear! The slickest and cleanest record I've received so far, aside from the black 180g Between the Buried and me remasters from Craft Recordings.

Yet another outstanding pressing from Music on Vinyl. Clean, quiet, and surprisingly spacious mix for metal in general, perfect for an Opeth record.
