- Sad that there is no unmixed disc too. Anyway nice mixed album with the hits and with some hidden beauties
- I can't believe that I have only just discovered this album.
As other have said, this and his Ministry mix CD are essentially genre defining mixes.
This was the London sound of 1997. Uptempo house beats meets huge warping, wobbly jungle style baselines. Its a great club sound, and Serious Danger was the master of it, through his many remixes. This mix is just an onslaught of bass, but my word its fun.
The pick of the bunch for me here is "Voodoo Bells" by Serious Danger. How this never became available is beyond me. The bass sound is phenomenal, I'd love to know how it was made, and the bells really create a brooding vibe. I also like the ISB Mix of "Breakin' Up".
I've said it before, I do wonder what happened to Serious Danger, he created great club records and was a talent, but by the end 1998 he simply disappeared. I wouldn't be surprised if he continued to make music away from speed garage, it was just strange how he had the London pirates, then he was just gone. - Absolutely amazing deep, Speed Garage House. Serious Danger really hits the spot if your looking for nightime dark house. Deeper is obviously the pick of the draw, with its amazing funky and brutal bassline, followed closely by 'Teardrops' which is by far the best remix from the Serious Danger Crew, after which High Noon comes in close 3rd.
Amazing Album, timeless classic. 10/10
Cheers. - Edited 13 years agoIf you are looking for a real quality Speed Garage then this might be the best mixed compilation defining this genre. Pure pleasure for body and soul! Respect Serious Danger.
