- Edited 2 years ago"The Beat" samples Public Enemy's 'the beat slowed down c'mon' like many other tunes of this era. A huge call to action - the squiggly sounds, stomping piano & 'sliding' style beat was simple but effective - a fixture of many mixtapes - and usually had Orbital - Kinetic mixed in next. Rest of the Ep is a forgetful mix-mash of ideas from the era: Tear Down The Place has aged the least IMHO.
