Reviews
- from the newsletter i received from they might be giants after seeing this tour at the vancouver ewast cultural center allan dobb opened....under FAQ..."how doo you tell the two johns apart? A:thats easy..john wears glasses and john doesn't"
- I can definitely hear some surface noise, but it's easy to ignore it. Side 2 is super fun with the camera.
- I am in no way a seasoned audiophile or anything but I actually think this is one of my better-sounding records. It's consistent and clear and maybe there's some noise but I only really notice it in between the songs. The picture disk is very cool looking; and obviously the album itself is iconic.
- I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing the noise present on this record. It's been pretty loud for me, like as if there was a pretty bad windstorm outside. That being said, I can ignore it after a song or two.
P.S. This seems to have recently been taken off of their site. Unclear if they'll be doing more pressings? - This is a picture disk, so of course the sound is by no means going to be audiophile-grade. That said, I think the pressing is pretty good, but it could benefit from some fuller bass. My copy also has some slight surface noise issues, but my overall love for TMBG gets around that. Love the art and this is a great collection piece to be sure.
- Got my copy somewhat recently and I like it. The picture disc is nice and clear, the packaging is basic but it works. Sounds good too, though I do have to note some noise between songs, kind of a low dragging noise. I'm guessing it's something to do with the pressing itself, not the mix. It's strange that on side two during the last songs, it's non-existent.
- its still available in the uk for £20 https://townsendmusic.store/cart/product.php?id=59266
