Number of the Beast is one of the best heavy metal albums ever released. Iron Maiden has no shortage of legendary albums in their discography, and this one is absolutely amazing! This is their third album, but it is the first to feature Bruce Dickinson as the lead singer; boy, does he impress in his debut! He delivers every note with precision and emotion! Every song on this album is memorable. Every metal fan should have this classic album in their collection!

Can some one point me to a version that has an etched message on the vinyl? I have one that has a phrase about the mark of the beast etched o. The actual.music bands on the vinyl. Doesn't effect play but I can't find a corresponding description.

I listened to this album to see what the band was like before buying their new album, Senjutsu, too see if it would be worth it or not. The first side was fairly mediocre so I didn't really want to try the B side. But god am I glad I did! The two best songs of the album were on there and sound great! 'The Number of the Beast' and 'Run to the Hills' are now among my favourite heavy metal songs and I can't praise them enough. It's worth the buy just for them.

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

So happy I found an OG UK for a good price in great condition. It's everything that the 2014 so called remaster isn't, it has punch, dynamic range, and rocks like an Iron Maiden album should
