Wow! What a beautiful package. Great songs, performances, sound; majestic in its presentation. I sure regret missing this tour at the Zubulon in 2020 with Kurt Vile and other illuminaries. I had the chance despite the difficulties of the logistics! Highly recommended! Pick up the reissue of Lubbock while you are at it!
This album is one that commands... then rewards... your full, undivided attention.
Terry Allen's literary songwriting style is accompanied by music that absolutely fits each song's setting. And the sound quality is incredible on my pressing. Very alive. I can't wait to revisit with headphones soon.

An absolutely incredible effort from Terry Allen that is somehow on part with his best classic efforts. Songwriting is as good as it gets with a great backing band and harmonies from Shannon McNally. A truly underrated gem.
