Carl Cox played this at the Barrowland in Glasgow late ‘92, and blew me away! But what blew me away even more was that he took about 3 minutes (a lifetime in the middle of a DJ set!) to look through his tunes and dig it out after I asked him what it was! He even gave me a pen so I could write down the title and the the name of the shop in London that I could order it from!! A true gent.

Another track that defines 92 hardcore underground rave - Keith Suckling, Grooverider, Doc Scott, Seduction etc all caned this and rightly so - its just a crazy choir-stab heavy killer tune, that hardly anyone knew what it was then and now most people cant find to buy as its so rare.
a1 is a short but sooo sweet hardcore tune that just lends itself to being chopped and cut into other tracks ratty style - this is the version most often known as it hammers out with the alphawave sample throughout - definately one to throw into a set to watch the crowd go crazy and test the subs out.
a2 is simply a maddened longer version of the same tune, with the stab pattern altered - just think of typical classic MC Lennie vocals over the top 'bassline your body now!' over the HUGE bass breaks.
aa1 sounds more like a 1991-era simplified stab style, with lighter beats and more bleepy backing, although just as manic - useful for an older old skool set though - even the production sounds older on this track.
aa2 a darker, more layered break chop track this one, sampling from a few tunes of the period, adding hoovers and more vocal samples with a loop from welcome to the jungle by gnr thrown in.

I'd classify this as being in the "Mental Mental" sub-category of Hardcore. Alphawave (both versions, the second has a better Bassline, the first more sampling) still stands up well today and on a good system IMHO.
