Notes
This release uses the a "lined WITHOUT WB shield" (similar to the Warner Brothers labels in use from 1978 to early 1980s but without the Warner Brothers shield logo). It has a smallish "Warner Records" logo near the bottom of the label. This places this release post 2019.

God I hope this really isn’t that terrible sounding. Copies of this record seem to be getting out of hand, and this 180 gram supposed Kevin Gray mix is still reasonably priced. We will see!

This sounds like it was recorded with a can of Texas refried beans; I’d stay away from this pressing

Wasn't really happy with the sound of this especially after listening to the outstanding 2020 pressing of Degüello. At the weekend I came across this version https://www.discogs.com/release/7430234-ZZ-Top-Tres-Hombres - probably an 80's reissue. I will be keeping the second hand one and selling this version as it is so much nicer to listen to.

Just compared it to an earlyier german 70's pressing and it sounded much heavier and fatter than this one. Avoid this ReIssue!

The Vinyl is paper flat without anything to complain about. When there should be silence then there is dead silence without any background. I can't say that this one sounds bad. It has good bass and it does not lack the heights to my ears. Otherwise I expected the Guitars w'd rip my Ears off a little more and this is not happening. Must compare it to an early pressing..

Bump. If anyone can confirm whether this is actually a repress of the good cut from 2006 or the bad cut from 2014 that would be much appreciated!
