- Perhaps my favourite album of all time. It's just so dreamy and immersive from start to finish; at times ominous and beautiful, this album is a must have.
- Fantastic example of a spacey IDM, ambient, chillout tracks and I've heard somebody refer to the genre as "Berlin House" before though from what I've been able to gather the genre would be traditionally classified as chillout, IDM and downtempo. The track starts off with a very simplistic, minimal house beat with an unique IDM texture but slowly drifts into a spacey soundscape of electronic harmony good, thoughtful, simple yet complex. The Amazing Discoveries track in particular with it's almost story like but vaguely recognizable vocal samples and a neatly organized, spacey, delayed drum machine structure that gives the track the ability to float from ambient back to IDM without seeming too repetitious or generic in nature. A great example of that mid-late 1990's style IDM/ambient that lies somewhere between dance floor electro house and a relaxing, conceptual, minimal, chillout piece. This record is incredible and it's very surprising that it's so over looked given Move D's underground notoriety and seemingly replay value. The song was featured on a German telivsion programe called Space Night which featured film footage of space voyages synced up to a range of house, jungle, chillout style songs. Out of all of the songs featured on the show which can be found on youtube Move D's Amazing Discoveries has to be the magnum-ops of the playlist with it's clever floaty, minimal chill out structure. Which seems timeless and orginal especially in a more digital time in which people try to achieve this level of electro/chill out style of music integrity but fail to pull of the masterpieces created only two decades ago with hardware and seemingly ahead of their time originality. To think these were some of the first artists to explore the field of IDM dance style ambient tracks is truly fascinating and as a result this modern classic from 1995 still holds up in our post-modern world of 2015. Many artist have tried to achieve this level of fluid, intellectually stimulating yet still danceable, kick back, IDM style that avoids coming off as too boring or ambient in it's style. But this classic by Move D has to be one of the few classic, timeless examples of electronic music you can relax your mind to and dance to at the same time. 5/5
- jazzy and dreamy ambient soundscapes that pulsate with minimal techno rhythms. the whole affair floats along at a relaxed, unhurried pace through occasionally dark and crystalline atmospheres. the perfect album to kick back to.
