Edited 4 days agoSince there has already been written a lot about a long standing classic that is Perfect Motion (Boys Own Mix)... I just want give a shout out to Patrice Bäumel.
Patrice Bäumel has carved us a unique and uplifting remix of Sunscreem – Perfect Motion. What a treat he has given us this time. The remix gives us a track filled with passion and energy: Very emotionally and colorfully driven, the warm synths and pads accompanied by a deep sounding kick make this track a never ending ball of energy. Personally, I would include this a in sunset/sundown set just to see how the crowd will vibe to this.
Patrice was born in the eastern German town of Freital during the communist era. His mother was a teacher and his father a Congolese chemistry student. Things werent always easy for Patrice being mix-raced, growing up in a predominantly white society. His father, also a music journalist, introduced Patrice to artists such as of Depeche Mode, Yello, The Cure at an early age. Influences we can see to this day in the art of his remixing style and his wonderful sets. Patrice still going strong in 2020. Peace. See ya.
