Some more rhythmic meditations from Burnt Friedman and Jaki Liebezeit on SECRET RHYTHMS 3. The compositions are more spare, emphasizing a single instrumental line and the percussion, like the Western-tinged electric guitar of "Morning Has Broken," for instance, or the Aborlginal didgeridoo-like manipulations of "Gegenwart" or the Afro-pop rhythm guitar plucks of "Trittbrettfahrer." "Die Ehrliche Haut" stays much more on the slow and minimalist side, though the house kick that eventually finds it way onto (and back out of) "Entsafter " helps cope for that emptiness. The smooth jazz of "Wirklich Version" is a bit too soporific, however, though the steel pans of "Sandale" help soothe that with a little Caribbean flavor. These rhythms aren't much of a secret anymore.

I think Nonplace/BF are starting to loose the plot of good listenable music! Each release seems to become stranger and weirder with its abstract experimental acoustic electronica.

Not sure what Labiosus was listening to i think his cd player is faulty. Burnt & Jaki pull out another 8 tracks of deep rhythmic nothingness. I rate Friedman as one of the best producers on the planet and have been a fan since i first listened to Nonplace 1 EP all those years ago. Some of his live sets through the beta lounge portal from 10 or so years ago are absolutly amazing i highly reccomend giving them a listen.

**ck*** annoying chirps and blirps that sounds like people with bad breaks on their cars or bats shrieking.
Its sad that they choose to include such annoying disturbing sounds, I will put this CD in the thrash. Without the noise this CD is rather good.
