Compiled by DJ Hi-Clive (Clive Smith) for internationally renowned Sydney restaurant and bar, Longrain. This was the first of 3 Longrain compilations.

DJ Hi-Clive was the original resident DJ at Longrain for many years.

Started by restauranteur Sam Christie and Chef Martin Boetz, Longrain Sydney opened in 1999 in a warehouse space in Commonwealth Street Surry Hills, and closed almost 20 years later, on June 30, 1998. Well before it was popular to do so, DJs provided the soundtrack in the restaurant. Around 2010, partly to help with the often 2-hour waitlist for seating, Longrain opened a cocktail bar (the Bunker Bar) underneath, where DJs and music were more of a centrepiece.
