Reviews
- Edited 3 years agoWas very skeptical about buying this album on vinyl since it's very noise-oriented and gets incredibly loud in several places. My god was I pleasantly surprised when I first listened to this on wax. The split on The Easy Way is kind of annoying but once you get past that this is a great-sounding album. One of the best metal records in recent years.
- Edited 3 years agoPretty cool release for the artwork and interior. Decent pressing, but not great. If you've listened to the CD on a serious stereo, you'll find some differences. The vinyl has a much lower EQ than just about every other record I own. I play vinyl with my receiver volume at 33, sometimes 35 if I really wanna shake the living room. I have to play this album with volume at 40. Audio quality is not the best, definitely a little flat or compressed. Certainly not as even or clear as the CD. Track eight, "The Easy Way" is actually split into two tracks. The song ends at 2:08 on side A and you have to flip over to side B to finish the track (with 2 minutes and 17 seconds remaining). It doesn't harm the flow of the song much, it comes during a natural break in the instrumentation. The album artwork is 10/10, top notch packaging and design: very cool lenticular/holographic cover, gatefold, foldout poster, two lyric inserts on nice cardstock, and a plain white paper sleeve for the disc. Oh and the disc is beautiful. Again, the audio quality is seriously lacking, but if you're a big enough fan of the music, go ahead and pick it up.
- It is the lenticular cover or the colour that is limited to 2000 worldwide?
EU edition does not have the lenticular cover and the catalog number is 007567 8650024. - Great pressing for an amazing album. Note that the "Galaxy Blue" is very dark and almost looks black while spinning but when held up to the light looks great and exactly as the mock up. Great packaging and extras as well as lenticular cover make this a must buy for any fan of the band
