I have a CD issue on the Acid Symposium label, same cover, but no date. (I purchased it prior to 2006.) The cover opens to two pages of detailed notes; backing paper lists the tracks, times, players, and instruments. AS006. Made in Greece.

Hello! I have a question for the contributor, or anyone who might be able to help me. I would like to use one of the tracks in a short film, and I have looked everywhere for the rights owner, but with no luck (John Berberian does not come up on Verve's website at all). Then I read here that the track is in the Public Domain, so I was wondering where can this be checked, and where did that piece of information come from? Thank you.

This is one of the best crossover LP's I've heard in ages. Until Middle Eastern Rock turned up on the doorstep Bosporus Bridges - A Wide Selection Of Turkish Jazz And Funk 1968-1978 was my favourite funky foreign mix, but this has it all. East and West finally meet in harmony. A great tangle of blistering guitar, drums and oud mangle like excited kids on a coach-trip. Not once do the players puke up on the wild diet of crisps, coke and egg sarnies. Instead they writhe in the groove... oud 'ave thought it? .....Bloody brilliant.
