- On my copy side 1 is absolutely fine, but side 2 has been pressed badly off-centre, tone arm visibly swaying from side to side, and marked wow and flutter (I think that's what you call it - the music pitch shifts like it's constantly slowing down and speeding up). I'm going to return it and see if a replacement copy is any better.
- Like several others here, my copy is off-centre, something that's really noticeable on the nice long notes.
It's a shame because I love this album - listened mostly to the download version! - I bought my copy in France, in July 2020, and I think it must be a second pressing (it was released in March) because it has absolutely none of the defaults described here below (it is perfectly centered, has no pops, clicks, surface noise or anything else). That's what makes me think it's a second pressing... or maybe it's just my luck.
- Hi Oldnathan! I got the yellow on, too, and it is not properly centered. Less extreme as your copy, I guess, but I have the effect you describe as well. - All in all one cannot call it an audiophile pressing. Some hard pops, a lot of little crackling, sonds a bit dirty (but I washed it, of course). It's a certain contrast to the nice music. - But the Yellow is great, isn't it?
- Artist name with error on cover (Sufjan Steyens). It is written correctly on the label and on the back of the cover
- Hi has anybody else got a poor pressing of the yellow version? Bought mine from Amazon and it's off-centre - you can see my turntable arm moving in and out - so on some sections (any elongated notes) it sounds liike it's slowing down and speeding up. I wanted to know if anyone else had the same problem before deciding whether to ask for a replacement or a refund. Cheers
