Continuing its tradition of discovering tomorrows dubstep stars today, Formant proudly presents 'Never Forgive/Dreams Are' by rising talent Late. Hailing from Finland, the fresh producer makes it perfectly clear why big hitters like Hyperdub have him in their sights. The two slices of emotive dubstep on offer here could easily find themselves scoring a David Lynch film or being dropped by the scenes most influential selectors. Leading with the deep and smoky 'Never Forgive', Late blends dense ricocheting rim shots and evocative vocals with swelling strings for a late night swim through post-garage bliss. Warm and heavy with soul to spare, 'Never Forgive' will be drifting through your head well after you've left the dance floor. On the flip Late burrows even deeper with the bittersweet 'Dreams Are'.
