- I understand others are disappointed in the art, however the packaging itself is fantastic. The center spread is stunning, all displayed on the tip-on style jackets Waxwork are known and loved for. The pressing itself is dead quiet, great range and sounds very full on my modest setup. I would recommend snagging this and "getting over" the art.
- Like others, the cover choice confused me. I am disappointed overall with what should have been an amazing release considering the subject matter. I am very familiar with the film but have never considered...a bird motif? Did I miss something? What the hell is with the bird?? I could think of a bunch of other things that are actually from the film that would have been better on the cover...subway demon/car demon/the HELL advertisement from the subway/Vietnam images (lacking in this release), POV from Jacob Singer/ a heaven/hell motif anyone?? An Agent Orange reference would have been killer...This release smacks of something that was farmed out to someone NOT familiar with the film. And to not include an insert/liner notes is just sad. I hope this soundtrack gets another release by someone who gives shit about the film. And the sound quality is ok I guess. A real letdown overall.
