super under-rated release. there is a lot of garbage selling for triple the price of these bangers from the golden era!
I second memeticist's comments regarding the minimalism - the balance of minimalism and interest is bang-on. Absolute clinic on arrangement imo :-)

A nice wobbly set of tracks. Not too abstract, but complex enough in their minimalism to keep you engaged. There are tracks on this release which will most probably stand the test of time. Be it the comparatively abstract piece 'Persi Needs', the psychedelic old-school almost hippie feel of 'Minimum' or the classic dub-minimalism of 'Mmmmmm'. The beat structure of many tracks on this album will definitely satisfy the people who like the "Dub" in Dubstep. The basslines are repetetive, yet genuinely engaging, and the grooves are definitely good dancefloor material that ties in easily with sets of other DJs, be it Drum & Bass, Techno/Trance or Electro. There is always a sequence or break on this album that will fit, and in this way Hatcha and Kromestar definitely delivered: A collection of tracks that a DJ would do good to take along for all purposes.
