    Pretty great pressing. Wouldn’t say the dynamics improve on the CD, but the pressing itself is nice. Only problem with finally having this on vinyl is that it throws in clear relief just how comparatively poor the songs collected on side C are (IMO of course!)

      Great music but meh pressing. Has distortion in a few places.

        Really great pressing. A shame this isn't a gatefold though.

          Has anyone compared this with the 2002 US press cut by Kevin Gray? If so, how do they compare? Cheers.

            Music = 9/10
            Vinyl Pressing = 8/10

            I love Frusciante's guitar playing and vocal harmonies on this album. This is one of my favorite of their releases and prefer this over Californication and Stadium Arcadium but behind BSSM. My vinyl copy came in perfect condition. However, I have to adjust the settings on my receiver when listening to this vinyl pressing. It's punchy and the band mix is well balanced but the highs are very trebly. The cymbals are very difficult to tame. There is distortion in Kiedis' voice at times. I think this has more to do with the mastering than it does the actual pressing. This could be a result of the 'loudness wars' and 'brickwalling' techniques that plagued many albums during the early to mid 2000s.

            I have my receiver EQ customized for 250Hz (bass), 500Hz (mids) and 1.0kHz. Most of my vinyl sounds great with boosting the mids by +1 > 3db and the treble by +1 > 3. I have to balance the mids at 0bd and treble to -2db to tame the shrill high end of this pressing. I don't have this problem with my original CD copy that I bought in 2002.

              Paper thin records, tight paper sleeves. Records came out relatively clean. Get your Mofi poly sleeves ready. Sound far exceeds expectations after packaging dissapointment. Instruments seperate, music sounds very clear out of the speaker. This has that band is in my living room sound. This is why I buy vinyl.

                  Quality pressing, nice tight bass, punchy drums clear vocals and singing guitar. What more could you want only negative is it isn't a gatefold sadly.

                      My copy is super good, it sounds much better compare to the original cd version: every instrument/part sounds wider and more defined.
                      Pay attention to the inner sleeves, the worst they could provide; very easy to scratch the records and super dust attractive.
