This album is dope! I just busted it out today again. Some killer grooves and very original touch. It is much more than a Drexciya knock off to my ears. 5 stars all the way!

Noche borrowing _heavily_ from drexciya side projects transllusion - dimensional glide on the chord progression, missing some variety in the tracks especially on the A/B side.

Splendid album would never sell it, ever. Quite stunning considering it is the first full-length of Sansibar

Future classic. Plus some other words but honestly it's a future classic.

Pretty sure 4Digitghost samples Ghost in the Shell - Floating Museum.

“Targeted individuals” is an 8 track journey full of surprise that rides the line between tense moods and pensive relaxation, summoning the precision swagger of Detroit in Effect (who Seppä fully credits as a big influence) whilst injecting a whole otherworldly gaze that brings into sight the shimmer of E.R.P, 214, Der Zyklus, Versalife and more. All woven together through classic off-kilter melodies, angular phunk and crisp programmatic beats, Seppä’s futurist visions expand well beyond into their own orbit. Each and every track packed full of funk as it is contemplative in its composition.

Kicking off with the tight opening pop of ‘Liquid Programming’, fluid like bass tones find their space as floating chords and hypnotic vocal samples, courtesy of Detroit's Erik Travis, drift into your consciousness. The sinister tones and urgency of “Technology” give little time for rest before the foreboding hustle of "My Mind" etches itself a little deeper with razor sharp precision. Only to be swayed back to the groove as sonorous bleeps lines meet the softer borders of synthesis in “Meri”. Diving back into the matrix, “4DIGITGHOST” embraces a more robotic feel without falling into line, the creepy atmosphere inducing unease as you move to the sharper bass quakes and emotive swell of “Kaista”. Not forgetting his roots, the deliciously sway of Kraftwerk appears most openly in the "Body Rock" before rounding off with the icy air and bubbling bottom end of “Noche”.

Impressive as it is ear catching, “Targeted Individuals” short but sweet mantra presses all the right buttons whilst straddling a shifty and paranoid air about it, harking back to some degree to the early output of Warp. Pressed loud for maximum impact, there’s a lot to admire in the work of this Helsinki producer.

Bought this album recently and it thumps. It does feel a little bit like some songs are a bit like remixes of each other since they're in the same key, but no arguments here as they're all bangers. Liquid Programming and My Mind are the standouts.

The opening release on new label Darknet is from Sansibar - his first full length album.

Sansibar is based in Helsinki and makes highly addictive Electro. The sound which leaks out of the speakers, displays more than just a passing aquaintance with the programmers and architects of this incredible art form.

"Mainlining Cybotron, Drexciya, ERP and Aux88 - Electro with zero restrictions" - 10/10.

In awe of this one since I stumbled over it --- takes the tried and true electro top rocking funk formula for a refreshing ride through downtown Helsinki. For once a promo text doesn't tell a lie: This is indeed for fans of E.R.P. and D.I.E. The album is a concept album, and "Liquid Programming" is its ouverture: Confident melodies and that hyperactive percussion we've loved since 1981. A stunning opener, whose building blocks are deftly rearranged in the other tracks, with impressive results. Particular favorites are "Technology", "Meri", and "Noche". The plates are cut deep and loud, the bass really goes booming through your neighborhood when you drop the needle. One request to the label: Please press the other four album tracks from the digital version, too!
