- I believe I am the first to purchase this album on Discogs. This is very lucky, as I’m sure it will never be sold for this cheaply again. Produced in limited quantities of 50 by FXCK RXP out of Dortmund, Germany; the album Is beautiful, like everything made on the label. In addition, the unique flow and rhymes present on the album and splendid Boom-Bap style beats makes a menacing and yet still chill and laid back island sounds. Like a West-Coast version of Wu-Tang, and yet more conscious, less menacing and… more bright. Poppy. Hi-fi. This album is damn good fun, and still feels hard as fuck. I can’t wait for the next album from my man Natia. If I’m not mistaken, he is Samoan, and draws inspiration and influence from his culture from his music. The music definitely seems Miami in every great way, for lack of any better terms.
The album is broken into three chapters, and the dub is present only beginning in the second chapter. Up to this point, the songs have been conscious yet consistently and conspicuously thuggish. Natia changes flow often and unpredictably, channeling early Eminem and elements of hip hop from all around the country. Styles morph from boom bap to Trap and back to Thug rap and boom bap once more. Bring the Pain, Chapter II, and Smoke & Drive are awesome and widely varied each. The album certainly isn’t lacking in content either, with 16 consistently banging certified hood classics in total. This is lit right here.
