Notes
Identical in many ways to the original Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes 2008 release. However, a few packaging differences of note:
1. This copy has plastic sleeves for the records, whereas the original 2008 has paper.
2. Additionally, the spines are slightly different: The "Sub Pop" label at the top is smaller on this release than the original, "Fleet Foxes" is better centered in the middle, and "SP 777" is all the way at the bottom (the 2008 release has a cpl inches between the "SP 777" and the bottom).

Black vinyl.
Matrix/Runout/Labels are all identical to original 2008 pressing.
Comes with a download card.
Released in a gatefold sleeve with the "Sun Giant" EP as a bonus.
2 printed inserts included.
Fleet Foxes (LP):
Recorded at our homes, our friends' homes, our parents' homes, at London Bridge Studio, and at Avast Studio in Seattle, Washington, through the Summer and Fall of 2007. Phil Ek produced, engineered, and mixed, except when we were flailing around at home, recording ourselves poorly for him to clean up later. This happened often. [...] Mastered, at RFI in Seattle.
Sun Giant (EP):
We all played many an instrument. An itemized and individualized list would be egotistical and tiresome.
It was mostly recorded in early January of 2008 at Bear Creek Studios in Woodinville, Washington. We did additional recording at both our house and at Stuart Hollerman's Avast! Studio, where the EP was also mixed. The handsome Philip M. Ek was the producer, engineer, and mixer. All hate mail may be directed to him. Except mastering hate mail, which can be sent to Ed Brooks at RFI in Seattle, WA.

- I wonder if there's a newer pressing that should be logged. Mine seems closer to this one, but didn't come with a download code, and the inner sleeves are poly lined paper.
- Edited one month agoJohn Golden does it again. Wow this sounds so good. The warm midrange and natural low end reign supreme and allow for a very rewarding listening experience. Zero complaints on my end. A wonderful presentation of one of the 2000s’ best albums. A+
EDIT: Mine came in polylined paper sleeves and without the download card. - Prior to purchasing this today, I had only ever heard this music on streaming and sweet jesus this is so much better. These songs are so strong that I would listen to them at virtually any quality, but this envelops you in the music and holds you warmly. So glad I picked this up. And very glad Sun Giant was included. Those tracks have always felt like they belong with this album.
- Edited one year agoOf all the folk rock from the 10s, especially the early 10s, this album stands out as an earnest attempt at searching for a modern folk sound. Not only is that achieved here, it is achieved with an expert balance of grandiose production and colorful, masterfully executed melodies.
- Edited 3 years agoThis pressing is fantastic. The sound is very dynamic and has a nice warmth to it. My copy had no crazy discernable surface noise, but I gave it a good wipe. Maybe I would recommend the same for those on their first lesson. The Sun Giant EP really adds to the package, because Mykonos is just an incredible tune. The cherry on top its the Tip-On jacket for this release, which I'm a huge fan of.
Tip - On Jackets are not used nearly enough.
Note: My copy did not come with a download card. - Beautiful music and amazing pressing! Sounds great in its vinyl version. Nice gatefold sleeve with great artwork. And it comes with Sun Giant EP included (Mykonos is such a great song). Highly recommended.
- Nice pressing. Well worth the purchase. The vinyl is not 100% silent. In some quieter parts maybe there is a bit of background noise, but it shouldn´t be enough to disturb. I send back any new vinyl that isn´t perfect or close to perfect. This album I am going to keep. Dynamic sound. Clean vinyl.
- Does anybody else receive an incredibly noisy pressing??? Both the EP and main album are just full of noise!! Is it just mine?
