Notes

Edition of 150 transparent tapes with white ink imprints.

Doom Trip Records presents 'Doom Mix Vol. IV,' celebrating our label's 4th anniversary. The Doom Mix series was initially created to highlight our favorite active artists, and quickly became an opportunity to document some of the world's best independent music. While previous editions have included greats like Eartheater, Swan Meat, Vinyl Williams, Wooden Wand, and TALsounds, Vol. IV may be the most exciting and cohesive mix experience yet. Musicians on this volume represent labels like Sub Pop, Orange Milk, Drawing Room, SIGE, Hausu Mountain, Not Not Fun, Heavy Mess, and more.

Joining the series for the first time are Fire-Toolz, Cruel Diagonals, maral, KWJAZ, Ki Oni, Pauline Lay, Lighght, Infinity Knives, and Nordra, while Dntel, Nmesh, Mukqs, Rangers, Pale Spring, Diamondstein, Sangam, and Heejin Jang return for their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th appearances.

Like the three previous volumes, there is a subtle shift at the halfway point. Listeners are treated to body-shaking electronics, soulful vocals, downtempo pop, and hellish gabber, all before Side 2 begins. The powerful, spectral "Null and Devoid" by Cruel Diagonals carries the compilation into a more atmospheric and dusky second act, which includes the first new KWJAZ music since 2011.

We'd like to thank each and every one of you for making our label what it is, and for supporting our artists. We look forward to sharing the full mix with you on April 10th, 2020.
