Reviews
- A fair amount of surface noise throughout but mostly on sides A and B.
This album is a departure from previous albums for The 1975 but now knowing where they were going it was a good transition album. This album focuses on vibes from front to back with a fair amount of interludes and a lot of digital vocal effects. After a fair amount of listens I’m really digging this album as a whole but you won’t find as many as stand alone hits as you can find on previous releases, but that’s fine with me. - absolutely fantastic and extremely underrated album, but this clear vinyl pressing is not very good. tons of surface noise and the cut isn't the best (it's cut from the compressed digital master used for the cd and stream/download, and it sounds a bit overly thick on this pressing). i found that while there was a slight loss of subtle detail, the picture disc had a quieter noise floor, though i listen to the japanese CD edition more than both of these vinyl copies.
- My pressing sounds great. Just opened it, cleaned it on my Vinyl vacuum and played it. Excellent music.
- WHEW. I guess I got lucky too! It seemed impossible to find ANY good pressing so I waited ages to pull the trigger on this record. My expectations were totally blown away.
- My copy sounds fantastic. I held off buying due to other reviews, but I have no issues whatsoever. May just be poor QC and I got lucky.
- Poor packaging aside - I found the pops and clicks went away after a good thorough Groovewasher clean and it sounds fantastic as it should now! This is not a bad pressing, I am happy to report!
- Edited 2 years agoThis is a godawful pressing of an otherwise excellent new release from The 1975. Disc one was lightly warped and had terrible amounts of no-fill distortion that overpowers the music starting from the first track on both sides . There was also excessive numbers of ticks and pops on most tracks. This was all noted after an initial thorough cleaning with my Hannl RCM. What a disappointment-- I'm going to try another copy. If it also suffers from the same defects I'm going to try a different pressing entirely as this one bites.
